Membership

When you apply for membership you will complete our online membership form. This service is provided by MemberMojo. You can see what we hold and amend your personal details at any point by using the this link:

Race entries

When you enter a BSSF race you will complete our online entry form. This service is provided by BookItZone.

IFSS and ICF championship race entries are administered by the BSSF directly.

 

Payments

Our payment service provider is PayPal.

 

We do not obtain data from any other source.

 

Data Processing

 

We collect personal data for:

 

The administration of memberships and to contact members, either in connection with the BSSF and its events, or in the case of an emergency.

 

The administration of IFSS Driver IDs

 

Race entries, both national and international.  For some international races additional information may be requested.

 

Archiving data

 

We will hold:

 

Membership data until the end of the following year that a member does not rejoin. This is to facilitate late renewals. In the event of disciplinary measures data will be held for 2 years or twice as long as the sanction, whichever is the greater.

 

Chip lists, race and event entries for up to six months after the completion of the event.

 

Results indefinitely.

 

In cases where there is a dispute, some or all of this data may be retained until the resolution of the dispute.

 

Financial data, e.g. payments for memberships, race and event entries will be retained in line with HMRC requirements.

 

Sharing data

 

We will share data with the following organisations in the following circumstances:

 

IFSS when a Driver ID is applied for  and for DID holders, a BSSF World Cup race or  IFSS Championship race has been entered.

 

ICF when an ICF championship race has been entered or when requested to confirm membership.

FSLC when requested to confirm membership.

 

Race Time keepers: Name and class details will be shared in order for the proper organisation of the race, who may publish race results on their website.

 

Speakers notes will be shared with the event MC and may be retained by the MC for future use.

 

Members details may be shared with our insurers, Butler Evans Risk & Insurance Consultants Ltd, in the event of a claim being made or where legally obliged to do so.

 

Members personal details may be shared with UK Anti-doping when obliged to.

 

We do not share data beyond these organisations.
